Yes, Me me me! When in my final year of uni me and my housemates (when not spending our time in the library!) used to watch a lot of Anime and cartoons. My favourite cartoon was Samurai Jack and i used to rush home from lectures to catch the next episode! It was a brilliantly drawn cartoon about a Samurai who is hurtled into the future where his evil nemesis, Haku the shapeshifting master of darkness, is now Lord. He has the best adventures on his quest back home and meets the best characters, such as a massive redheaded Scotsman with a machine gun for a peg-leg. It is ace and Haku is hilarious.

I don't know why I like cartoons so much, I guess it was because I was such a goggle-eyes as a child. My mum told me I was going to grow up with square eyes. I didn't mind, I might have also developed cool super powers with square eyes.. ace!
Seeing as I watched High Fidelity last night it seems apt to write some Top 5's..
Top 5 Favourite cartoons:
1. Samurai Jack
2. Dungeons and Dragons (I rented this out the other day and it still is amazing!)
3. Batman of the Future
4. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
5. Cowboy BeBop

*edit - remembered 2 more of my favourites as a kid!
6. Godzilla

7. Pirates of Darkwater
Top 5 Feature length animations:
1. Transformers: The Movie (great soundtrack)

2. Shrek (1+2)
3. Nightmare Before Christmas (I think this counts?!)
4. Disney's Robin Hood
5. Beauty and The Beast
Top 5 Anime:
1. Spirited Away

2. Akira
3. Ninja Scroll
4. Princess Mononoke
5. Ghost in the Shell
Thinking about it I guess what I like most is the freedom and obvious pleasure the animators get from these cartoons, and the different views of the world that they convey through their works. Not being remotely talented in the slightest in drawing or anything creative, I can fully appreciate them instead.
All lists welcome!!
